Berkey® - Help combat counterfeit and similar Berkey® products

Counterfeit and similar Berkey® products may appear on third-party marketplace sites hosted by companies such as Amazon, eBay and similar marketplaces. They may also be sold through their own brand websites.

Imported counterfeits and similar brands often use the well-known and trusted Berkey® name to legitimize their own brand, create confusion in the marketplace, and trick consumers into purchasing their cheap carbon filters and other similar parts and products instead of genuine Berkey® products from Authorized Berkey® Resellers.

We are also aware of a growing number of unscrupulous individuals who purchase cheap lookalike filters primarily from Chinese sources, repackage them in counterfeit Berkey® boxes, and then sell them on marketplace listings as "genuine" or "genuine Berkey®" products alongside our authorized resellers. .

Consumers purchasing counterfeit or similar water filters is a dangerous miscalculation that could have serious consequences for the well-being of those who depend on the products to provide the same performance as Authentic Berkey® systems, particularly in off-grid applications for use with fresh water sources like lakes, ponds, rivers and streams.

In order to beat back the tide of these encroaching competitors (and especially the illegal activity of counterfeit sellers), we will provide you with a series of graphs, which will inform you and allow you to recognize counterfeit filters. Here is the first graph, and others will follow.
