The flow rate decreases with the height of available water and the clogging of the filter. The 3 L designate the capacity of the bag; the 5,000 L correspond to the maximum cumulative volume announced for the filter, without identical guarantee on all contaminants.

Provide a clean container to collect the filtered water.
🌲 Gravity circulates the water
Suspend the bag above the filter and the collection container. The difference in height allows the flow: you can prepare your campsite while the water passes through the filter.
The announced flow rate is a maximum. A dry filter must first be moistened and charged water can accelerate its clogging.
💧 Install your filtration point
- Prepare: moisten and rinse the filter according to the instructions; check the connections and close the hose clamp.
- Fill: choose a suitable fresh water source and close the bag properly.
- Hang: secure the bag on a stable support, then place the filter underneath in the intended direction of flow.
- Collect: open the clamp and direct the outlet into a clean container. Avoid any contact of the outlet and the container with unfiltered water.
🧼 Keep the kit ready for the next outing
After use, clean the bag and the hose and maintain the straw against the current with clean water, according to the instructions. Let the whole thing dry before storing it.
Replace the filter if its flow rate remains low despite maintenance, if it is damaged or when its maximum capacity is reached. Protect the wet filter from freezing.
🌿 Choose your water carefully
Use soft water as clear as possible, without suspected chemical pollution. This filter does not desalinate the water and does not constitute reliable protection against viruses.
If the microbiological safety of the source is uncertain, plan suitable disinfection in addition to filtration and follow local health instructions.
