The 5,000 L represents a maximum capacity announced by the manufacturer. This volume does not mean that all contaminants are reduced to the same level until this deadline.

🥤 Several ways to use it

  • By suction: the water passes through the filter to the tip.
  • With a compatible bottle: the connection facilitates the sampling of water.
  • With a suitable pocket: a gravity assembly allows the filtered water to be collected in a clean container.

Check the threading and tightness of your accessories before departure.

👥 An offer adapted to your equipment

Small batches allow you to equip one or more people. Packs of 24 and 50 are suitable for stocking up on individual filters.

Each straw works separately. The selection of the pack only determines the number of units ordered.

🔄 Preparation and maintenance

  • Before first use: open both ends, moisten the filter and carry out the rinsing provided for in the instructions. Keep the outlet tip away from unfiltered water.
  • After use: carry out counter-current cleaning with clean water according to the manufacturer's procedure. The rinsing water must come out from the water inlet side.
  • Before storage: let the elements dry and store the filter away from frost and high heat.
  • When to replace the straw: if suction remains difficult despite maintenance, if the filter is damaged or when its maximum capacity is achieved.

🔎 Understanding performance

The membrane and pre-filters retain particles; activated carbon helps improve the taste and odor of water.

The SGS report published by the manufacturer covers a coliform reduction trial, with a strain ofE. coli, and turbidity at the start of the life of use. It does not measure universal effectiveness on all pollutants or over the entire lifespan.

🌿 Choose your water carefully

Use soft water as clear as possible, without suspected chemical pollution. This filter does not desalinate the water and does not provide reliable protection against viruses.

If the microbiological safety of the source is uncertain, plan suitable disinfection in addition to filtration and follow local health instructions.
