The capacity announced corresponds to storage in the tank lower; it is not added to the volume of the upper tank. Dimensions are rounded based on manufacturer measurements. The identification of people requires the addition of suitable filters.

💧 The tanks accommodate your filters

The Travel Berkey® has 2 locations in the upper tank. It is suitable for a configuration of 2 compatible elements.

Before putting old filters back into service, check their condition and replacement deadline. Follow their instructions for assembly and refilling with water.

The tanks alone do not filter the water. Reduction of contaminants, flow rate and duration of use depend on the elements actually installed. No filtration performance should be deduced from the volume of the fountain alone.

No filter element is included. The filters and the raising base are chosen separately.

🔧 Assembly and first use

  • Prepare the tanks: wash your hands, clean the tanks and the tap, then rinse carefully.
  • Assemble the accessories: secure the button and the tap with the gaskets provided. Follow the assembly order in the instructions; the tap is tightened by hand.
  • Install the chosen elements: prime them if necessary and fix them according to their own instructions. Close unused locations with suitable caps.
  • Put into service: follow the rinses prescribed by the filter manufacturer, check the tightness and check the level of the lower tank before each filling.

🧼 Maintenance and transport

Tanks and tap: clean the surfaces regularly in contact with water. The manufacturer recommends monthly washing of the lower tank with soapy water, followed by careful rinsing.

Filters: remove them to clean the tanks and only follow the maintenance instructions specific to the installed elements.

Transport: empty the system and remove the filters. Also remove the faucet to fit the tanks together, then protect the parts separately.

📐 Prepare its location

Allow approximately 45.7 cm in height and 19.1 cm diameter for assembled tanks. Add the space needed to open the lid, fill the upper chamber and access the faucet.

Install the assembly on a flat, stable, water-resistant surface. If you add a base, check its compatibility with the tank model and take its dimensions into account.

Origin of the tanks: assembled in the United States from American and imported parts, depending on the manufacturer.

J’aurais du l’acheter plus tôt

Enfin je bois une eau pure et sans goût désagréable. J’ai mis des filtres Coldstream, ça change la vie. Je me sens beaucoup mieux depuis que je bois cette eau. Le modèle Travel Berkey convient très largement pour une personne seule, je l’utilise à la fois pour mes boissons et celle de mon chat, pour cuisiner et pour faire tremper les légumineuses. Tout est plus léger, tout a meilleur goût. J’ai davantage d’énergie et ma digestion est meilleure. Je suis moi-même très étonnée de constater autant de bénéfices
