💧 Nipple and adapter
The PrimeRite™ soft nipple fits on the end of the faucet. Hold the filter while priming and turn on the cold water gradually. If the pacifier swells, immediately reduce the pressure.
For a PF-2™, use the dedicated adapter and the specific PF-2™ preparation procedure.
🌬️ Anti-Airlock Clip
The clip is placed on the edge of the lower tank, with its long part towards the inside. It provides a passage for air between the tanks.
It is used when too tight an adjustment between the tanks hinders the intake of air and slows down the flow at the tap.
🔴 What is the red dye used for?
The dye test is an assembly and tightness check. It helps to identify an internal leak, for example around the fixing of a filter or a closure cap.
It does not measure the effectiveness of the filter on all contaminants and does not determine its remaining lifespan. A clear result therefore does not constitute a potability analysis.
📋 Before the check
- Prime the elements and assemble the system according to their instructions.
- Remove the PF-2™ before using the dye.
- Use the dye provided and follow the dosage as well as the steps indicated in the instructions.
🔎 If the water comes out red or pink
Check the positioning of the joints, the manual tightening of the nuts and the plugs of the unused holes. Resume the assembly concerned and check according to the instructions.
If the result remains abnormal after these checks, contact Fountain Water customer service to examine the assembly.
