💧 Replace the useful part
A lost or damaged faucet does not require replacing the entire fountain. This reference allows you to restart the water distribution of your compatible model.
📦 What you receive
- 1 standard Berkey® faucet.
- 2 gaskets to be placed on either side of the tank.
- 1 fixing nut; its shape may vary.
The fountain and filter elements are sold separately.
🔧 Assemble the standard faucet
- Prepare: empty the tanks and remove the old faucet. Clean the parts before installation.
- Assemble: place a gasket on the stem, insert it into the tank, then add the second gasket and the nut inside.
- Adjust: the instructions provide for holding the valve turned towards the “9 o'clock” position while manually tightening the nut, then straightening it in the clockwise while holding the nut. Consult the diagram before starting.
- Check: close the tap and check the tightness after refilling the water.
🫧 Consider maintenance
The instructions for stainless steel systems recommend maintenance of the lower tank and the tap every 30 days, as needed. For mineral deposits on standard faucets, it provides a 5 to 10 minute soak in a mixture of equal parts clean water and vinegar, followed by a thorough rinse.
