Cleaning the mineral basket is carried out when a green fluff appears on the top (coming from exposure to too much light from the fountain)
For fountains with a magnetic system, you must open the basket and remove the white magnetic disk
Then, boil water with a tablespoon of coarse sea salt
Bring to a boil. Turn off the heat
Put the minerals in boiling salt water
Leave to act for 5 to 10 minutes
Then rub the minerals under tap water
Rinse the basket and minerals under tap water
If you have a magnetic system, replace the white disc inside the basket
Put the basket back into the fountain
